Audit.org is a voluntary cooperative association of independent third party marketing organizations operating financial services websites. We seek to identify and support those sites using industry best practices for data security, integrity and quality customer service. While website operators may submit their site as candidates for review and certification, ultimately membership is by invitation only.

No website can pay to join or to receive our certification. They have to earn it.

Audit.org is an independent verification service that is dedicated to combating fraud and protecting consumer privacy. Audit.org’s mission is to review and certify financial services quoting websites for security, privacy and integrity.

To receive Audit.org’s certification a website must meet the criteria summarized below and shown in greater detail on our Get Audited page:

1. The website must include a home page link to A PRIVACY POLICY, including required disclosures.
2. The website must meet Audit.org’s accountability standards.
3. The website must participate in Audit.org’s dispute resolution program or similar approved watchdog system
4. The website must commit provide Transaction Data Security
5. The website must commit to meet Audit.org’s availability standards
6. The website must meet Audit.org’s integrity standards.
